About

I got the quilt "bug" when my girls were real little in the mid '80's. As a former crafter of everything (yes, I'm pretty sure I have at least attempted every craft known to man) I figured quilting will be easy! Well, it took me several years of taking classes and reading books (before YouTube) to teach myself. Over 20 years later, (Ok who's counting?) I still enjoy quilting and look forward to any time I can spend with my fabric, even if it is just a brief few minutes of just touching!

My first real quilt was a pattern from McCalls, I think, you know the kind you have to rummage through the filing cabinets at your local craft store to find?
Then I moved on to Eleanor Burns Quilt in a Day and did a log cabin. It was so much fun that I had to go and buy every magazine I could find about quilting. Good thing my for the hubs there weren't very many of them back then!
